The StockWatch.com.au Share Trading game was developed to introduce beginners to share investing.

I remember when I bought my first parcel of share (NAB :)), this was after months and months of paper trading. With paper trading I would use an excel spread sheet and pick 5 or so shares that I thought would do very well. I would jot down the prices every day and over time, watching its progress. It was laborious, but it was fun and very exciting.

StockWatch has been created for this very same purpose. It allows budding investors like you to paper trade online. However, unlike paper trading, StockWatch is automated. The shares you buy and sell along with your profits and losses will be listed and calculated for you automatically.

The StockWatch Trading Game is designed to mimic a real life trading scenario without risking 'real' money. You can also compare how you are going with other investors or with the All Ords index.

I know there are many share simulators out there such as the ASX share game, or the share trading game from one of the big banks, but it's disappointing when you're excited and ready to play only to find out the game is closed to new entries.
